Engineering excellence in metal fabrication, machining, and finishing since 1987Founded in 1987 R & G Sheetmetal is one of the largest sheet metal manufacturing businesses in South Africa. With an established market presence, we specialise in sheet metal processing, fabrication and powder coating of aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, and galvanised sheet metal.
In addition to metal, we also machine plastics such as polycarbonate and perspex. Other services include CNC machining, turning and product design. Incorporated under the R & G umbrella is a semi-automated powder coating plant for in-house powder coating, a CNC machining shop, a tool room for maintenance and upkeep of our machines and tooling and Unirack, suppliers of 19″ server cabinets, wall boxes and accessories.
We are committed to the development and sustainability of our environment through the use of solar panels and our recycling efforts.
Some of our largest projects to date include the providing of all the ducting at the Medupi and Kusile power stations, steelwork for the electrical boards at the Medupi Power Station in Elasrus as well as the baggage handling conveyors at OR Tambo International Airport.

Amada at our core – the backbone of our production
Our extensive range of advanced Amada machinery includes two CNC Lasers, four CNC Punches, guilllotine, eight CNC Bending Machines, as well as dedicated welding and spot welding bays. Our facilities also feature grinding bays, eccentric presses, corner notches, programmable band saws, lathes, surface grinders, and more.
